Top Ten Persons of my 2015

2015 is about to end and I would to dedicate this post to those persons who made my year very exciting and colorful. These persons are some of those who are my reason to wake up each morning ad continue to take the track of life no matter how bumpy the road is. They are the one who made my stomach ache because of laughter, my eyes puffy because of tears (of joy, for some), my night sleepless because of deep thoughts and other "unexplainable" feelings. These persons deserve to be given appreciation for making this year worth remembering. Kudos to you guys who made it.

1.) AlDub
That This-is-it! hug tho

*Photos are not mine

Later in this year this phenomenal love team made a history not just in the Philippines but in the whole wide world. Maine Mendoza popularly known as Yaya Dub was known for her funny videos using the app Dubsmash. This bubbly girl made it into the social media through her viral Dubsmash video of Kris Aquino. Later she became a part of a segment in Eat Bulaga called Kalye Serye and there she met Alden Richards, the other half of AlDub (and that's when the modern and true-to-life fairy tale started chos). And the as part of the fame of this couple (I hope tho) love team have numerous commercials, billboards, magazine covers and to top all that a sold out concert held in the biggest indoor arena with 55 thousands seats and also garnered a recognition from Twitter itself for a record-breaking 41 million tweets for the said event (Regine! Who Woow!). This made it to this spot because I love how they make the viewers (including me) smile from ear to ear and squeal with matching hampas sa katabi whenever AlDub make some kilig scenes through fansigns, dubsmash and conversations (now that they can already talk #kiligpamore). I also like how they integrated forgotten Filipino values like pagmamano (kissing of hands of the elderly) and stuffs like serenading, respecting and obeying Lola Nidora's rules about limitations (especially the one-foot-no-touch rule) and waiting for the Tamang Panahon for certain things to happen not merely rushing everything. I also like both of their personality off cam, how kalog and humble Yaya Dub is and how religous and goal-oriented Alden is. (Enough of my fan girling haha) This spot is not only for AlDub but also for the persons behind their success. Kudos to you guys!

2.) Cornejo Twins (Anna and Amie)

These two girls are very dear to my heart. They are my closest friends today (and forever I hope lol). This two made my stay here in Naga, a not so foreign place for me, easier and whole lot funner ( I just made up that word). They made a good company since they are both funny ( except sa knock-knock jokes peace ^^V), especially at random times, (like "The Fudge" incident I hope you still remember that hahahahaha) and also very caring and understanding. I really look up to you when it comes to patience on having a crazy friend like me that has this personality  that is difficult to deal with (especially at PMS moments) and demands na sometimes out of place na rin.  I really felt spoiled for having you as a friend and being treated like a true blood sister. You guys are my angels. Thank you to both of you for the simple things we shared, for listening to my countless (and sometimes pointless) dramas,  for braiding my hair whenever I feel like, for being my cheerleaders whenever I feel bad, for reminding me my positive traits whenever I feel inferior and most of all for staying at my side and comforting me whenever I face a struggle. Even though most of our time are wasted on deciding where and what to eat you are still my favorite lunch buddies. Thank you also for allowing me to meet your family, I really had a great time in their company. Thank you for this wonderful year with you and hoping more fantastic years to come. Always keep in mind that I will always be here for you no matter what happens and I will stand at your back in all decisions you make. Sorry for all the dramas, for (sometimes) arguing with you with pointless matters (it is just a mental exercise for us haha) and mostly for being rude at times. I love you both :).

3.) Gina and Helen

Excuse my ugly face :)

Super mega throwback

The ever camera shy (pero nagse-selfie)

Another two girls who are very close to my heart. Despite the distance between us three the closeness never fades. This two amazing girls never fail to make me feel loved even though we are always a screen away (LDR ang drama natin eh). I am very thankful to have you both because when I'm with the two of you I feel like I can always be my crazy self, no holds barred. Indeed your high school friends are your friends for life. You guys know me a lot deeper compared to my other friends which makes so lucky to have you staying in my company despite my knowing my flaws and personality. You have this comforting effect on me that by just seeing our old pictures and chatting with you I feel so much loved knowing I still have you as my friends. It is very heartwarming knowing that I have that friends who are sure to stick with me even though I don't talk to them always and I'm not afraid to be left behind in case they found new circle of friends because I know that we are friends by heart. I love you both and together we will fulfill our squad goals. You are one of the reasons why I love going home on vacations because I will get to bond with you again. Looking forward for more sleepovers and movie marathons.

4.) College Buddies

This group of crazy people are one of the reasons why school is fun. They are the one who will motivate you to go on and strive for more. They are the one who makes me awake on  the sleepy subjects namely *some text missing*. They are the reason why you go to the library, not to study but to chat or sleep and avail for the air condition and at last they are the reason why vacant times were never boring. This group of people is whom I share my crazy side, laugh out loud  moments and other fun stuff. They are my partner in crimes. They are those few persons whom I look forward seeing everyday.

The Achiever Squad

This is composed of Claudine "Madam Barbara" Mabulo, Nepthale Maceda, Shean "The Bully" Bo and Jimnie  Mutya. They are one of the squad that I look up to in school. They spend most of their time in library studying ( or most of it chatting  and just enjoying the AirCon). I look up to them how they help each other to be a better student and an individual. They are also a good company for their gift of sense of humor. They will always give you a good laugh whenever you are with them. This squad really is a #squadgoal itself.

Madam Barbara is the oldest (but the cutest hahaha). We became close(r) during our ROTC days (one of my dumbest decisions in College -.- ), she was buddy and everything was easier because of her presence. Despite the hardship I can say that I enjoyed it because we never fail to have a good laugh and funny stories during break times. I will surely treasure those memories.

Nep is the goofiest of the four. The first time that I became interested in her personality is when she let me watch one her (funny)  video taken at her room while there is a raging storm outside and  singing the Chicken Noodles Song sang and composed by her. I also like her cool relationship with Paps and Kiddie (their cat, cool name right). I can always tell that she is at the peripheral when there is noise (haha peace Nep). I always like how she brighten the day with her light personality.

And we have come to the Beautiful BULLY One. She is undeniably beautiful gorgeous. When you put her in the crowd, she will definitely stand out. I knew her since day 1 of my college days. She is a brave girl who will speak her mind and has tons of ideas. She also has a soft heart to animals (especially dogs?) and a very kind person to everyone. And I forgot to mention that she is also a beauty queen! But... (yup here's the downside)  She is a bully (believe it or not she is). I have always wondered why does her BULLY side ONLY applies to me. SuSheanA, kahit lagi mo akong binubully, maganda ka pa rin (Yung brushes ah, baka naman).

And for the last but definitely not the least, Jimnie (tada!). She is a very soft spoken girl who is always ready to extend help to everyone. She is like a gem in our class (at least for me) , precious and fragile. Galitin niyo na lahat 'wag lang siya, mabait kasi 'yan. She is the kind of person who never hesitate to help in whatever way she can. Being friends with her is truly a gift but don't ever try to mess with her unless you want to see a flying table towards your direction haha.

PS.Sorry for invading your phone with my disturbing selfies. Peace ^^

(I know that you will read this post no matter how hard I try to hide this. So... Enjoy :) )

The LOL Group

This group is composed of Jasmine Tuibuen, Yague Yanto, Xian Paredes, Kim Esteban and Solange Gill. This group really gives me a makakalaglag-pangang tawa and stomach cramps when it comes to company. I just knew them (more) on the first day of class for second semester, our teacher did not show up because of some important matter and while waiting for him I joined in this group's chismisan which really gave me a good hearty laugh. That is when I start admiring this group, being with them will surely fade your worries away.

Special mention to Kim *pabebe waves* for being my partner when it come fangirling mode towards AlDub. Thank you for the updates and together we will witness their fulfillment of FOREVER. Sana mahanap mo na ang Alden mo (sa katauhan ni *some text missing* haha peace yow). #KimianFTW

5.) Weird Teachers

This year I have encountered different types of teachers which really added color in my life as a college student. This teachers really taught me a lot not just what is included in the course description but on the life and reality instead. Here are they:

The Pushed-Me-To-Limits Teacher

Models used for one of the Practical Exam.

In her subject she proved what a major subject really looks and feels like. I needed to exert super duper mega extra effort. Her subject entails memorization and a lot of brain draining activities. I have memorized a hundred of unfamiliar scientific terms which gave a glimpse of what Med School feels like (and made me question my dream of being a doctor). She gave quizzes every meeting and a CSF draining activity during laboratory period (which entails coloring and answering our lab manuals and a nerve-racking and nail-biting laboratory practical which really stressed me that time). Passing her subject is like going through the hole of a needle, that hard. I really felt physically and emotionally drained after every meeting in her subject. Laziness has no room for me when it comes to this one. As a teacher, she really made sure you deserve the mark that you get, no room for biases. I really would like to thank her for the way she taught us. I became more responsible as a student. She really pushed me into my limits and made me learn in the not so hard way. Her subject is very sulit because we gained more than what we paid for. Ma'am thank you for being the you are as a teacher. You truly challenged me and shaped into a better student.

The PaKwela Sir

We (our classmates) call him Jollibee :)

This teacher is one of those I not-so-like-the-most because he just literally read the powerpoint presentation on his laptop and just provide us a copy of it ( we might as well self study). *sighs* He sometimes tell stories, crack jokes or introduce a game for us to be interested in his subject but that style seems not to work. I mean he is fun as a teacher but I prefer to learn beyond entertained in his class. Learning and entertainment maybe a good strategy to teach but a teacher must make sure learning is still the priority. Well Sir thank you for a whole semester of laugh out loud, see you in the campus!

Sir Flat-Tops

I really look forward in entering his class because it is a very student-friendly one. Sir is very kind and lively when it comes to teaching. What I love the most in his subject is there is a reward ( a Flat Tops chocolate haha) whenever you got a perfect score, check two papers during exams or recite whenever he asks you to. I also look forward in attending his class because of puzzles and games he introduced, I like solving puzzles a mind exercise and for fun and in his class he got plenty of it. Sir also is very welcome to students when it comes to questions and clarifications which made his subject really interesting. I hope to your student in other subject Sir! See you around :)

6.) SSVP People

SSVP is my organization where I spend my spare time with. In my 2-year stay in this org I have found new friends and learned a lot. The people behind this org really plays an important of who I am right now. I have learned how to do things I have never done before through them and through our activities. I have also experienced a lot, struggle, pain but most of the time joy and contentment. I have matured as a Christian and an individual because of exposure and experience granted to me. This group is a non-government, international organization which aims to help our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate. Being exposed to different kind of people when we go to communities to extend help shaped me to become more aware of life, how simple and joyful it is. Thank you to my  Ates and Kuyas for being my guide in entering this org and for also taking care of me during my stay. To Kuya Rolly for always offering time for a serious talk and for some advice that made me realize a lot. To Ate Jacky for giving up to my silly demands, McDo treats, for all the help that you have offered to me and for making my stay a lot easier and comfortable. To all the members, for sharing your time and stories. I had a lot of fun in your company and discovered a lot of secrets haha. I look forward to many more years in serving in this organization.

7.) COMELEC People

A former org of mine which really played an important role in my college life. In this organization I have been exposed in paper works and meetings which I have met a lot of different people and discovered what it is like to be a leader. This organization offered me a lot of opportunities to grow as a person and learning that I am applying now. I am sorry to leave this because of some instances but I very much grateful for the training and experience that it has offered me. I have also worked alongside with the with excellent colleagues which I will really miss much. But as the saying goes "Good things must come to an end" I guess our's is just too early. Good luck to all of your projects!

8.) Pope Francis

I really admired him for his simplicity and charity. How genuine his smile while at the plane before landing the soil of the Philippines, how strong his presence when he arrived and how big his love for us. When he visited our country I felt sorry that I did not have the chance to see him personally but I wish to someday. He really revived our spiritual connection with God. I am amazed how the Filipinos became disciplined and responsible during his stay. I can still feel the goosebump whenever I remember his mass and homily to the Filipinos. I am awed how his presence made us united and forget all of what we are going during his stay. He is really someone to look up to and an inspiration for me to be holy. I hope one day I will get to see him and ask for blessing.

9.) The Persons-Whom-I-Chose-Not-To-Name

#NoPicture

You guys really made a big impact on my year. We've been through a lot and who would've thought it would end this early. Life is really unexpected, isn't it. I am dedicating this spot to you because you deserve it for all the memories and learning. You have been good friends to me and I admit that the problem is wholly mine alone. I just have a lot of things running around my mind that time. I am sorry for letting you go without a single word. I don't know if you are mad or enrage with me but I am certain that leaving you clueless may have hurt you, I'm sorry for that. I chose not to have it fixed because I needed time to fix myself first and to find new perspective. I became attached to both of you and it is also not easy for me to do this but to avoid further injuries I chose to leave. I knew both of you for a long time and I am certain that you are strong enough to overcome this. Again, I'm sorry and thank you. I wish you both all goodness in life.

10.)  The Girl-Who-Broke-My-Trust

#NoPicture

This spot goes to the person I trust(ed) before who through the course of time broke my trust. I just want to thank you for being an Ate and a friend to me. We shared so many memories together that I am and always look back to. No matter how I tried not to make this sound bitter or what, I guess I just can't. I still feel bad for what happened, I wish you just respected my decision. I have been, still am and will always be honest with you. Things I said that night were all true, I'm tired and confused (with what? Still a mystery to be unfold at the right time). I'm sorry for not giving you a chance to talk to me and clear things out. Don't worry time will come and I will patch things up with you. Just bid me more time. Anyways, good luck with your career and I (genuinely) wish you and your family more blessings.

Well, I guess this list also reflect my year, there are challenges but also success. Hoping for another fruitful year to come.

Sunday Currently 01

Getting on the bandwagon! One of the famous blog posts in the present is the Sunday Currently by Siddathornton.  It is about a list of what's going on a moment.(just visit to her blog to know more about the Currently Sunday). One of the Firsts

And for the first post (yay!!!) it would be about another first in my life, WALL CLIMBING (tadaaa!!) Last November 10, we had our PE class outside the school (another first time) for  wall climbing in Sakat Kadlagan. Even before the PE time I have been preparing myself physically, I ate a heavy lunch for energy and psychologically, been telling myself that it was going to be okay.

I arrived at the place earlier than usual to prepare myself, (and guess what wala pa yung mga kaklase ko, sobrang aga ko pala talaga, buti dumating yung kambal agad ) not long after the place finally opened, the twins and I entered and we chatted to Kuyang Staff (haha nakalimutan ko itanong pangalan niya)  para mabawasan yung kaba namin. We asked for tips but Kuya told us that he will orient us later and the tips will be revealed there (chos si Kuya pa-suspense). My hands are cold and clammy due to my fear of falling while climbing on those walls. After a few minutes my other classmates arrived already and the class started.

Kuya Staff oriented us on what-to-do's and what-not-to-do's and also assured our safety by explaining the safety devices there. Our PE teacher Ma'am Manuel was the first to climb ( nadala sa cheer at palakpak ng klase ) and it looks like easy watching her climb on the wall stepping and grasping  on rocks attached to it. After Ma'am we agreed to have the list of who's going to climb first, by partner. Anna, one of the twins, is my partner.

Before we climb, by just wearing the harness we both feel nervous considering it is our first time to this. I was half nervous and excited as our turn approaches. When it is our time to climb, I felt the mix of nervousness and the will to just finish this for the sake of the class, that Bahala na, matapos lang to feeling. Grabe ng hirap pala akala mo madali lang tingnan pero kapag ikaw na yung gumagawa, nakakatakot.  I felt the rush as I go up since it is very hard to grasp on the rocks because not all are at the size of my hands (some are too small to be grasp) plus the feeling that you're several meters above the ground and imagining your injuries if you fall down. Good thing our classmates cheered us and it somehow gives me strength to go on. The reward is going down, rappelling going down is what I have enjoyed most. As I land on the ground I can feel my cold sweat all over my body and my knees turning into jelly. It was so thrilling and makabuhay-katawang-lupa feeling.

It is very fulfilling to accomplish something like this. This is the first time and definitely (hopefully) not the last.
